Phil Spencer also ensures that despite its design, the new Microsoft console can also be placed horizontally in addition to the position already seen.

Having presented at the last edition of The Game Awards, which crowned Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice as Game of the Year, Microsoft's new console is already a reality. Xbox Series X will arrive at the end of next year with some games already confirmed as Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 or Halo: Infinite, but there are still many things to know: exact release date, price and some small details that will make the generational jump worth it. One of them is a feature recently revealed by Jason Ronald, a member of the Phil Spencer team in front of Xbox.

Keeping a game on hold is something that the current Xbox One is already able to do, being one of its most effective and useful features, but the new Xbox Series X will go one step further.

"Today, we have the ability to continue instantly the last game we play, right where we leave it," Ronald begins. “But why not be able to do it with several games at the same time? Many users play several games at once, and being able to continue them all right where they left off is something we can do to raise the level of gaming experience offered by a platform. It's about making sure you spend less time waiting and more time playing, because it's something we all want with our consoles and services. ”

Xbox Series X, not only standing

As usual every time the design of a new console is presented, the Xbox Series X has not been an exception and has become a victim of memes throughout the network, even being converted into a refrigerator. But dealing with more serious issues, there are many players who wonder if that vertical position will be the only one that may have the new Microsoft console. Phil Spencer himself says no.

“The first thing I want to clarify is that Xbox Series X works both vertically and horizontally, just like Xbox One S and Xbox One X,” says Spencer. "We believe that it is not our job to decide how you want to place your console at home, that depends on you," he says, leaving those who did not finish finding a space for the console in the living room of his house.
