Koraidon EX – Stats and Abilities
Rated Basic Fighting, Koraidon EX boasts 150 HP, a Legendary Drive ability that swaps it onto the Active Spot and transfers all in‑play Energy, and a 110‑damage World Wrecker attack costing three Fighting Energy and discarding the deck’s top card. Weakness sits at Psychic +20; retreat costs two Colorless Energy. As an EX, its knockout yields two prize cards to the opponent.
Strategic Approach and Matchup Considerations
Early turns focus on placing Hitmonlee or Riolu; the former chips opponents while Riolu evolves into Lucario, adding a +40 damage boost to Koraidon EX. Once sufficient Energy accumulates, deploy Koraidon EX via Legendary Drive for an immediate strike. Professor Sada can retrieve three Energy from the discard pile, smoothing energy flow.
Pairing two Lucario on the bench, plus support from Korina (+30) and Arena of Antiquity (+20), can swell the World Wrecker to roughly 200 damage. Area Zero assists in drawing the EX, while an Ancient Booster Energy Capsule and Starting Plains together grant an extra +50 HP buffer.
Fighting decks typically stumble against Psychic archetypes such as Mega Altaria EX, yet Koraidon EX holds strong against Lightning lineups, notably Magnezone and Mega Ampharos.
Acquiring the chase card may require borrowing from friends or grinding Hourglasses via our pack‑opening guide, ensuring a steadier influx of fresh Paradox cards.
With its rapid activation, high‑damage synergy, and solid survivability options, Koraidon EX positions the Pokemon TCG Pocket deck to dominate late‑game battles in the current meta.
