Deal Overview
GTA 6 is offered for free to anyone who switches to the Telia X mobile plan at Power electronics in Elverum, Norway.
Customers must pay a joining fee of 399 kr per month and agree to a 12‑month contract totalling 4 788 kr. The free copy may be delivered on a PS5 or Xbox.
Financial Breakdown
A physical copy of GTA 6 usually sells for 899 kr (~$85). Under the promotion, the cost of the yearly plan, calculated at 399 kr per month, amounts to roughly $450.
While the plan price is comparable to those offered by other Norwegian carriers—around 40 € per month—it dwarfs the cost of similar European bundles, which can reach as low as 14 €.
Community Response
Reddit users reported that the promotion feels like a lucrative deal, prompting some fans to plan a move to Norway.
Others point out that Norway’s mobile and internet rates are high regardless, and that the offer provides only a single game rather than significant service savings.
When weighing the $450 price against a free GTA 6 build, the incentive hinges entirely on a gamer’s willingness to adopt a costly telco subscription.
