Lewis Hamilton Welcomes a Golden Retriever Puppy
Lewis Hamilton, the seven‑time Formula 1 world champion, has added a golden retriever named Halo to his family.
Halo arrived last week from U.S. breeder Goldiva Goldens, marking Hamilton’s first dog since the passing of his beloved bulldog, Roscoe, who died of pneumonia in September.
Hamilton retained Los Angeles‑based trainer Kirstin McMillian to care for the pup. McMillian, who has trained Roscoe and Coco, flew with Halo from Maine to bring the dog to a luxury handler in Los Angeles.
Social‑Media Storm
Hannah “Kim” Kardashian captured the occasion in a photograph that sparked an instant fan frenzy. Fans praised the new pooch on Reddit and Twitter, with comments ranging from “the best life a dog can have” to hopes of a future meet‑up between Halo and Leclerc’s dog, Leo.
Some speculated on the possibility of Halo roaming the paddock in a matching Ferrari jacket with Leo, as the two drivers share a team‑mate relationship.
Season Context
Halo’s arrival comes as the championship heads into a summer break. Hamilton, who finished fifth at the Hungarian Grand Prix, sits second in the drivers’ standings with 169 points—50 points shy of leader Kimi Antonelli’s tally.
With the new companion in tow, the champion looks forward to a relaxed intermission before the next set of races.
