Microsoft's cloud streaming service continues to add titles to check the operation of its technology. It will arrive in 2020.
Microsoft has added this January 22 more than a dozen new games to the trial program of Project xCloud, the video game service streaming through the cloud of the company, still in preview version. In this way, invited players, only available in the United States, United Kingdom and the Republic of Korea on Android devices, can now add works such as Destiny 2 or Halo: The Master Chief Collection to the list.
As we say, in this new wave of 15 games added to Project xCloud there are also other independent titles such as SUPERHOT or Portal Knights, as well as famous names in their genre such as Sid Meier's Civilization VI, Batman: The Enemy Within and Batman: The Telltale Series, among others. What is Project xCloud on Xbox?
It was during the last X019 held in London in November when Microsoft explained and explained the details of this new streaming game experience, where they have already established relationships with up to 17 studios to adapt their titles to the platform, which is not the same as the recently launched Xbox Console Preview, whose operation is to transmit the signal from the console to the mobile device (smartphone or tablet). With xCloud it is the Microsoft cloud servers that are responsible for sending the information.
In total, there will be more than 50 video games available at launch; Notably, Gears 5, Devil May Cry 5 and Tekken 7. Project xCloud will also come to Windows 10, so that it can be squeezed into computers and will include support for Bluetooth devices such as controls (including PlayStation DualShock 4). All through a Wi-Fi connection.
The final release date of Project xCloud in its final version is yet to be determined, but will be sometime in 2020.
