For Netflix, video game adaptations are apparently becoming more and more interesting, which is why they are now also working on a series on One Piece.

The first season is therefore already in production and should initially consist of 10 episodes. The format is based on a live action style that was created in collaboration with creator Eiichiro Oda and a larger Hollywood studio.

Little is known about the story so far, but it should be about the hero Monkey D. Luffy, who, after eating the famous devil fruit, has rubber properties. With these skills, he and his pirate gang go on great adventures to find the ultimate treasure and become the next pirate king.

It is not yet known when the series will be launched. With corresponding success, however, several seasons are conceivable.
