Apex Legends continues with the premiere of its fourth season. Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have published an official trailer that welcomes Assimilation, the new season now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The production of the also creators of Titanfall 2 and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order presents a new battle pass, which promises more than 100 unpublished objects, among which are legendary aspects, Apex packs, loading screens, soundtrack and plus.
During the last days, Respawn has participated in a marketing maneuver that has featured two legends, Forge and Revenant. Through a series of videos, it was implied that Forge would be the next character to join the ranks of Apex Legends. However, in another of the trailers we could see his murder at the hands of Revenant. This Legend looks like a robot and acts driven by revenge. Thanks to his supernatural abilities, he is able to kill his enemies and deceive death.
Another novelty of the season is the new sniper rifle, called Sentinel. It is a weapon that "feels very powerful" and that introduces a new animation in which we can see the character throwing "the bolt back" when loading the next bullet. "It's a bit different from the rest of sniper rifles because it has a mechanic in which you can load the shot," said the development team at the mouth of Jason McCord, design director at Apex Legends.

Changes in the Series 3 qualifiers
Season 4 will be accompanied by the series of qualifiers 3, which will introduce some novelties with respect to the previous series. "We have thought of new formulas to maintain interest in climbing positions in the rankings," they reveal on the website. Therefore, they have decided to start another series of 3 months, although this time it will be divided into two phases. "This means that Series 3 will have two shorter phases, each with a partial reset." While phase 1 will be played at the End of the World, the 2 will return to the Kings Canyon, with the aim of giving some variety.
Rank rewards, meanwhile, will be offered according to the highest level reached in any phase of the series. In addition, animated badges will be awarded to those who achieve the same level in both phases. The study has made the decision to add a new level between Diamond and Supreme Predator, which they have baptized as Master. “The PCs needed to reach the Master level will remain 10,000, the same as for the Supreme Predator. From now on, the supreme Predator level will be exclusive for the 500 best players on each platform. ” With this decision, Respawn intends that the prestige of the Supreme Depredate rank be maintained without “levels above Diamond losing its exclusivity.
Apex Legends is a free-to-play title available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Its launch on mobile devices is confirmed, although no launch window has been announced at the moment.
