Arc Raiders’ Frozen Trail update delivers a new Outpost that instantly opens the game’s Research Station and weapon‑amplification tech.
Unlocking the New Outpost
To access the Outpost, players must finish three quests in sequence: Research Topside Living Conditions, Gather Building Materials, and Safeguard the Building Site. Each task was designed to test exploration, resource collection, and combat proficiency.

Completing the Topside Living Conditions Quest
Players begin by acquiring a camera from Celeste and using it to photograph a farmland house in the Ruined Homestead near the Ancient Fort on Blue Gate. After capturing the image, the player returns to the Outposts tab in the main menu and completes the quest.

Gathering Building Materials
This objective requires the collection of 3 Planks, 5 Sheet Metal, 10 Arc Alloy, and 3 Advanced Electrical Components. While the newly introduced Planks and Sheet Metal can be farmed across the map, the most efficient route is to purchase them from Celeste for a few seeds.

Safeguarding the Building Site
Combat is the focus here: players must inflict 800 damage on flying Arcs and 300 on the Arc Bully. Facing the flying enemies can be streamlined by battling them in Pendola Pass or the Spaceport, while knocking out the Bully is easiest with Wolfpacks or Trigger Nades.

Utilizing the Outpost
Once unlocked, the Outpost changes the main lobby’s backdrop and adds a workshop slot. The added slot lets players place a Research Bench, giving access to every game blueprint. The Outpost also acts as a personal base, offering furniture placement, and its Research Station empowers weapon modification and amplification.

Expanding the Outpost
Expansion is achieved by adding one of three room types: Panoramic Room, Timeless Room, or Chalet Room. Each requires 3 Steel Cables, 20 Sheet Metal, and 3 Cable Strippers. Upgrades enhance both the size of the base and the capability of the Research Station.
