Arc Raiders’ Frozen Trail expansion introduces a new utility weapon—the Grappling Hook—available to players after they secure its blueprint.
Obtaining the Grappling Hook
Players can purchase the weapon directly from the traders. The Nomadic Envoys in the Traders tab sell the Grappling Hook, just as they sell the Camera.
Progression through the Arc Raiders Reward Pass also unlocks the hook, and dedicated players may acquire it by completing Pendola Pass map quests or by looting containers scattered throughout the campaign.
Securing the Blueprint
The blueprint is awarded at level 12 of the Frozen Trail Reward Pass, making it accessible early in the pass.
Alternatively, the blueprint can be unlocked at the Research Station located in the Outpost, offering a straightforward path for players who prefer research over combat.
Looting during special events—Night Raids or Electromagnetic Storm missions—provides an additional, though less predictable, avenue for obtaining the blueprint.
Crafting the Grappling Hook
To forge the hook, head to a Utility Station. Combine the following components:
- 2 units of Rope
- 1 unit of Cable Stripper
- 1 unit of Mechanical Component
These materials, when assembled at the Utility Station, will produce the Grappling Hook, ready for deployment in future missions.
