The French studio is working on a new intellectual property that will come out of Bethesda soon.
Although the Dishonored saga is fallow, Arkane Studios has not stopped for a second. After releasing Prey, that reinterpretation of the Xbox 360 classic, the studio helped MachineGames with Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Also, right now they are developing a new intellectual property, Deathloop. That is the future, but what about the past? No Clip, a YouTube channel that makes developer documentaries, has just posted its work focusing on Arkane Studios, the creators of Dark Messiah and Dishonored.
In The Untold Story of Arkane, studio members openly talk about building their games and sadly canceled projects. As we posted on FreeGameTips, the French were working closely with Valve to develop Half-Life 2 episode 4, known as Ravenholm. This video game was located chronologically before the second episode.
This and other stories are narrated in the video that you can see under these lines:
Arkane co-founder works on new project
Following the release of Dishonored 2, Raphael Colantonio, co-founder of the studio and one of the company's thinking minds, said goodbye to embark on a new professional adventure. The Game Awards 2019 was the setting for the presentation of their first independent project, Weird West. This is a video game set in an alternate Wild West where the enemies are not only the outlaws we all know, but also monstrous shadow creatures. Together with Julien Rody, ex of Arkane Studios, he has designed an action RPG with a zenith view.
Years of great challenges await Arkane, like Raphael Colantonio and his new studio. The French studio stands out for designing products with a marked artistic and playable style. Unlike other more media sagas, neither Dishonored nor Prey managed to reach the great masses, despite their undoubted playable qualities.
