Bungie confirms that the arrival of Destiny 3 is still far away, as they are currently focused on content updates for Destiny 2.
In Bungie they are still engaged in the Destiny 2 updates, but they still set their sights on a future Destiny 3. As you can imagine, it is not yet ready to share any details. In an interview with PCGamesN, the study's communications director, David ‘DeeJ’ Dague, says that "we will have to wait a little longer" before hearing anything about a possible sequel.
What do we know about the future of Destiny 2 and a distant Destiny 3
"I don't have any good announcement to make about the next bold moves we will make in the franchise," says Dague in the aforementioned interview when asked about how long Bungie will stay with Destiny 2 before moving on to Destiny 3. "At this time our commitment and our attention is to make the seasons that will take place over the course of next year be interesting and sustain an arc of perennial history that keeps players interested. "
"I understand the question you are asking and it is certainly interesting, and we will have many things to say about it later, but I fear that moment will have to wait a little longer."
We remember that Destiny 2 was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September 2017. Three years later, the title continues to receive content and updates constantly. In addition, the title is one of those that came to Google Stadia launch, a platform that will feature the temporary exclusivity of Destiny 2: The Collection.
The last to arrive at the title is the Alba Season, available from December 10 to March 9. The plot premise indicates that, once the vex invasion has been defeated, Osiris asks us to face a new threat: “. It prevents a council of psionic skinners from manipulating time and nullifying the victory against the Red Legion, ”says the official description.
