Ferrari’s rising star Charles Leclerc confirms that his growing portfolio of business ventures is sharpening his mind, but his only ambition remains a Formula 1 world championship.
Business ventures beyond the track
Leclerc has invested in the sleep‑tech brand Eight Sleep while racing, arguing that the creativity required to build new companies also fuels his drive on the circuit.
“I love turning a vision into a reality and pulling a team together,” Leclerc said. “Finding the right people and pushing toward a shared mission is something I truly enjoy.”
He added that working beside entrepreneurs and wearing a business hat has broadened his understanding of different passions, a change he describes as opening his mind.
Focus on racing still paramount
Despite these commitments, Leclerc insists the bulk of his attention stays on the track. “99 % of my time is dedicated to racing,” he told Eight Sleep, explaining that his training, performance and strategy form the core of his days.
He reaffirmed that “racing is, and will remain, the main priority until the end of my career,” and that the only goal driving him forward is becoming a world champion.
Early karting roots shape his teamwork skills
Leclerc began karting at age three and a half and credits that early exposure to working with mechanics and adults for his natural talent in building relationships.
His experience in the tight bonds required for a karting team translates into his ability “to understand people, to use the right words at the right moment, and to push everyone in the same direction.”
Leclerc notes that while racing originally sparked his passion, the background relationships have become equally important. It is this dual focus that keeps him competitive on and off the track.
