RFK Racing has signed veteran driver Chris Buescher to a new multi‑year contract for the No. 17 Ford Mustang, keeping the 33‑year‑old behind the wheel for the foreseeable future.
Buescher, who rose through Roush’s driver‑development program from 2009 onward, captured the 2015 NASCAR O’Reilly Series championship before amassing nearly 400 Cup starts—six wins, five of them earned with RFK.
Speaking in the press release, Buescher said the team has served as his professional home, “I’m proud of what’s been built together, and I’m excited about what lies ahead.” He added that the commitment from owner Jack Roush, owner‑driver Brad Keselowski, and the entire organization fuels his ambition for continued success.
Inside the Chase, he stands alone as the only RFK driver, occupying fifth place in the standings with ten races left. He has claimed five of the team’s last six Cup victories, including a three‑win season in 2023—the best single‑year haul by a Roush driver in fourteen years.
Jack Roush praised Buescher’s “exceptional driving talent” and his “work ethic, intelligence and commitment” that strengthen the team, while Keselowski highlighted his professionalism and knack for elevating teammates.
