After rain pushed the Richmond Craftsman Truck Series race to 12 p.m. EST on Saturday, Cup driver Christopher Bell pulled out of the event.
Bell’s Double‑Duty Dilemma
Bell was slated to compete in the No. 62 Halmar‑Frisen Toyota, where he had qualified 17th. He chose not to drive the 650‑lap truck course that would have come just hours before his scheduled Cup race, focusing instead on his Cup commitments for the remainder of the season.
Honeyman Jr. Steps into the No. 62
Leland Honeyman Jr. will take the wheel, starting from the back of the field. He has only two NCTS starts in 2026—at Charlotte that May, finishing 23rd—and a total of three career starts in the series. His racing portfolio is richer in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series, with 66 starts and seven this year as a part‑time driver, including a previous 20th‑place finish at Richmond.
Van Gisbergen Remains on the Grid
