Veteran IndyCar driver Conor Daly will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Kansas Speedway next weekend.
Truck Series Return
Daly is slated for his eighth Truck Series start, joining Kaulig Racing in the No. 25 RAM 1500. This marks his second appearance in the 2026 season. During the summer, he began 29th in the IRP race and finished 26th.
Mega‑broadband “Indianapolis was all about momentum and tight‑quarters racing, but Kansas is a completely different animal,” the veteran said. “It’s fast, aerodynamic‑dependent and wide open—you have to nail the setup and trust the truck through the long corners.”
Open‑Wheel Credentials
Daly’s open‑wheel résumé shines: he advanced 12th after leading four laps in this year’s 110th Indy 500 and has a best finish of sixth. With 133 starts, he boasts two podiums and a pole. In 2027, he will return to full‑time competition with Dreyer & Reinbold.
His NASCAR stint includes a 29th‑place finish in the 2023 Daytona 500, plus three starts each in the Cup and O’Reilly Series, underscoring his versatility across disciplines.
Kaulig’s Driver Calendar
The #25 truck, part of a five‑truck Kaulig fleet, has seen a rotating cast of talent: Tony Stewart, Travis Pastrana, Clint Bowyer, Jamie McMurray, Ty Dillon, Colin Braun, Ryan Newman, AJ Allmendinger, Corey LaJoie, Parker Kligerman, Elliott Sadler, Carson Ferguson, Regan Smith, and most recently, Regan Smith again. The No. 25’s best finish came at Watkins Glen, where Allmendinger secured sixth.
