Control's first expansion, "The Foundation", arrives on March 26

The title of Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games, Control, will receive its first expansion "The Foundation" this March 26 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Remedy Entertainment announced in September last year that Control would receive two post-launch expansions in 2020. The company had not added any extra details until now, at which point they have finally announced that the first expansion, "The Foundation," will be released on 26 of March. Because of its title, we can anticipate that this content will invite us to delve into the mysterious history behind the Casa Inmemorial. The agency's board of directors will commission Jesse to once again explore the building's foundation to discover what the puzzles it hides. New story missions, gear, antagonists, and game mechanics will be offered in the expansion to further explore the Ancient House, the headquarters of the Central Control Office.

First teaser trailer for the Control expansion

The teaser that Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games have shared doesn't say much, but it's very clearly related to the base game. "Marshall" refers to Helen Marshall, chief of operations for the Central Control Office. He only makes a couple of appearances in some scenes, but later in the game he announces that he has to "go see something", at which point he disappears. Everything points to this being one of the mysteries that we can solve in the expansion.

On the other hand, the second content expansion will be pending, which will arrive in mid-2020 and is titled "AWE". In this case, the DLC will take us to the Investigations Sector, where the Office analyzes the Altered World Events. We will have to wait to know more details about it. What we do know is that these are two paid expansions, which are included in the game's season pass. If we are looking for free content we have a game mode called "Expeditions", which offers us challenging content for the game's endgame.
