The new production of the Polish studio will not arrive until September, but that will not prevent employees from working part-time.
No, Cyberpunk 2077 will not be commercialized on April 16 as planned. CD Projekt RED recently announced that the title would be delayed a few months, something that will not prevent crunch situations. At least that's what Adam Kicinski, CEO of the company, admits. At a press conference, an investor asked him if this delay was going to rid the crunch developers. However, the manager has acknowledged that it cannot be avoided at all.
"To some extent, yes [there will be crunch]," Kicinski has sincere. “We try to limit the crunch time as much as we can, but we are in the final phase. We try to be reasonable in that sense, although yes. Unfortunately". The study explained in a statement that it needs more time to polish the product, so that these months will be invested in such tasks. They also explained that the play is completely playable.
Several important delays
It is not the only title that has been delayed in recent days. Earlier this week, Square Enix shared two relevant news in that regard. On the one hand, Final Fantasy VII Remake will not arrive in stores on March 3, but will do so a month later, on April 10. Marvel's Avengers will be delayed, whose departure date was set for May, although it will finally be released on September 4, 2020. The Last of US Part II, one of PS4's big exclusives, also said goodbye to its February date. Instead, it will be released on May 29.
Cyberpunk 2077 will go on sale on September 17 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, shortly before the launch of the new generation of consoles. At the moment, CD Projekt RED has not officially announced that it is working on adapting the video game to PS5 and Xbox Series X.
