CD Projekt RED announces the decision to postpone the launch, which was scheduled for next April.
Another week of delays. Square Enix lifted a good layer of dust when he announced that two of his most anticipated titles would not come out on schedule. The portrait of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Marvel's Avengers was unveiled virtually at the same time. Now, however, it is the turn of CD Projekt RED. The Polish study has published a statement on Twitter announcing that Cyberpunk 2077 will not be available on April 16, as planned, but will disembark on September 17.

The reasons for the delay
"We are in a phase where the title is complete and playable, but there is still work to be done," they explain in the brief, signed by Marcin Iwinski and Adam Badowski, co-founder and head of the study, respectively. "Night City is massive, full of content and places to visit, but given the scale and complexity of everything, we need more time to finish the testing and polishing phase." According to the developer, postponing the launch allows them to make "a perfect game."
CD Projekt RED has promised, however, to keep users informed about the development process, although they have not given more details. What is clear is that we will have to wait a little longer to immerse ourselves in the dystopian history of Cyberpunk 2077. Night City hides a broken society dominated by large corporations, a common premise in the genre of science fiction.
With the delay of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which will be marketed in April, the list of games that were going to be released that month also included Resident Evil 3 Remake, as well as Cyberpunk 2077 itself. Finally, the new CD Projekt RED will coincide with other titles, among which is Marvel's Avengers, which has suffered a delay of several months, as it was scheduled for May.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
