Bethesda would like to offer the DOOM fans something very special and has announced a rather nostalgic feature that can be activated optionally in the game.
As the publisher writes on Twitter, the weapon can be completely centered on the screen in the game, just as you know it from the first games and the beginnings of the shooters. However, the feature is really only optional and can also be switched off again. There is a foretaste of this on Twitter.

The DOOM Eternal developed by id Software is the successor to the award-winning hit DOOM (2016). Thanks to the power of the idTech 7 engine and the brand new gripping soundtrack by Mick Gordon, you feel more powerful than ever in DOOM Eternal in the skin of the unstoppable DOOM slayer.
In it, return to the earth that has been overrun by demons, turn all controls to the limit, discover the origins of the Slayer and continue its mission to slaughter and chop everything until nothing is left – true to the motto: "Raze Hell".
DOOM Eternal will be released on March 20, 2020.
