Even after the release of ‘DOOM Eternal’ Bethesda plans to actively support the shooter and is now hinting at the first plans.
There is an interview in the Official Xbox Magazine, in which executive producer Marty Stratton reveals that numerous players are still playing DOOM 2016 and are constantly asking for new content. At the time, however, the development of DOOM Eternal was pretty quick and in 2016 DOOM was somewhat neglected. That will change.
“I'm pretty excited about things like Master Levels and the DLCs that we have, or the new challenges that we're going to offer monthly or weekly. We will continue to support Battle Mode and add invasion. We have so much that we want to do after launch to really give the players what they asked for – to learn more about the game and to give them more variety in the experience. ”
A Year One Pass is also planned, which grants access to two single-player campaign add-ons within the first year after publication. The detailed DLC plans will probably be heard around the launch period in March. Until then, you can read about impressions of DOOM Eternal again in our preview.
