Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will receive Goku and Vegeta Super Saiyan God as a paid DLC

The game will continue to expand its stories through paid downloadable content, included in the season pass.

Indications that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot would introduce content from Dragon Ball Super were hinted at in a screenshot, featuring the house of Beerus, one of the characters from the new Akira Toriyama series. However, it has now been confirmed that the title will add playable versions of Goku and Vegeta in Super Saiyan God status in the spring. This has been confirmed in the Weekly Famitsu magazine, which makes one of the leaks official: the new story will be called “A New Awakening: Whis training” and it will be the first paid DLC, which will be included in the season pass.

According to the information, players will be able to access training challenges against this enigmatic character, who always accompanies Beerus, the god of destruction. Whis, eager to try new dishes, will test Goku and Vegeta to their limits. By earning enough experience points, both will have the option to transform. This new form will add new attacks, improvements and final blows.

Goku and Vegeta vs. Beerus

In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Beerus arrived on Earth and surprised Goku and his friends on a cruise ship. When training is complete, players will be able to replay that same battle and fight with all their might to defeat this enemy (or friend?) In the shape of an Egyptian cat.

The production of Bandai Namco, developed by Cyberconnect 2, has become a complete success. The game has already sold 2 million units worldwide, a figure that was reached shortly before the two months since the title went on sale in January 2020.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The title reviews the entire history of Son Goku and his friends since the arrival of the Saiyans, which means that we will live the Frieza saga, that of the androids and Cell, as well as that of the Buu Monster.
