Legacy Motor Club has secured Erik Jones on a multi‑year contract, confirming him as the No. 43 driver for 2027.
Team Expansion For the 2027 Season
In addition to extending Jones, the team announced a new lineup: Josh Berry will take over the No. 42 chassis, replacing John Hunter Nemechek, while Riley Herbst will lead the newly added No. 84 as a third chartered entry.

He brings three Cup victories—including two Southern 500 wins—and over 350 Cup starts to the table, along with nine victories in the O’Reilly Series and seven Truck Series wins. The 2015 Truck champion has consistently demonstrated the endurance needed for the highest echelons of racing.

Jones has driven the No. 43 since its early days, predating Jimmie Johnson’s investment and the rebranding to Legacy Motor Club. His first season with the car was in 2021 under Richard Petty Motorsports, and he has remained integral ever since.
