The FIA and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest have extended their partnership through the 2037 season, cementing the World Endurance Championship’s decade‑long outlook.
Partnership Extends Through 2037
Under the newly announced 10‑year deal, the governing body and the Le Mans 24 Hours operator will jointly promote the World Endurance Championship until the end of the 2037 season.
Earlier media reports speculated a possible break in 2024, but both the FIA and the ACO clarified that the current agreement was set to expire in 2027, not 2026, ensuring continuity.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said: “This is a deal built for the future, a deal of the century, that will deliver real benefits to fans, drivers, teams and manufacturers.”
Regulatory and Commercial Enhancements
The extension gives the FIA Working Group and the FIA Endurance Championship full oversight over regulatory processes, with the World Motor Sport Council responsible for ratification of all decisions.
Both organisations will now steer the homologation of all Hypercar class cars through a new, streamlined procedure.
The FIA will benefit from increased trackside branding, amplified presence in parc fermé, on the podiums, in safety cars, and across televised coverage.
Forward Outlook
With the partnership secured for another decade, the FIA and the ACO are positioned to drive the World Endurance Championship toward unprecedented growth in the years ahead.
