Fortnite has announced that the Simpsons Springfield map will be the only Reload mode map currently in rotation.
Uninterrupted Access to the Beloved Crossover Map
Players can now teleport directly into Springfield whenever they wish, without concerns over the regular map queue. The move removes the 20‑minute hourly slots that previously required jumping on the timer to compete on the map.
Epic’s Quick Reaction to Community Demand
After the 41.30 update re‑introduced the Springfield map, it stood alone for three days before Elite Stronghold and Slurp Rush returned. A spike in player counts—especially when the John Wick sprite and Excommunicado mechanic were added—prompted Epic to tweet from the Fortnite Status feed that all other Reload maps have been removed from rotation.
What This Means for the Player Base
With the exclusive status, fans no longer need to chase limited time slots; the map remains available 24/7 until the decision changes again. Epic has yet to confirm how long the restriction will last or when the other maps will resurface, but the current state suggests Springfield could stay on top through the end of Chapter 7 Season 3. The change allows players to focus on expanding their sprite collections without interruption.
