Holofoil Sprites will be introduced in Fortnite on July 9, 2026, presenting a shiny variant that maximises visibility and bonus value for collectors.
When and How They Appear
The new variants are slated to spawn at roughly 4 AM ET, with Epic Games likely deploying a hotfix to bring them online.
They remain obtainable until the conclusion of Chapter 7, Season 3, so players have ample time to hunt for them in the open world.
Why Players Should Equip Them
Holofoil Sprites are more than cosmetic; their iridescent shimmer aids in locating rare items such as Gold, Gummy, or Galaxy Sprites during a Sprite Power Hour.
- Gold Sprites offer the highest point distribution.
- Gummy Sprites are coveted for their unique aesthetic.
- Galaxy Sprites provide a distinct visual profile.
Collecting these variants is especially valuable during the scheduled Sprite Power Hour on July 11, 2026, when they appear in concentrated bursts.
Trade and Completion Strategy
Epic Games has not yet released every sprite type, so trading remains a practical means to finish the set.
Players who already completed their collection in earlier seasons can capitalize on the fresh challenge, trading to acquire any missing Holofoil Sprites without grinding time‑intensively.
With the release date confirmed and an extended window to play, seasoned collectors should arrange their inventory to immediately claim the newest sparkling additions before the Chapter ends.
