Epic Games has applied a hotfix to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 that permanently eliminates the Adventure Sprite glitch that once enabled rapid Crown Sprite upgrades.
Hotfix Effects on Sprite Progression
The update now forbids the Adventure Sprite from leveling other sprites, and it can no longer transform a regular Shield into Flowberry Fizz or Chug Jug.
With the random‑item upgrade rule in place, consumables are again excluded from the Adventure Sprite’s level‑up bonus.
How the Glitch Had Been Used
Players would equip an Adventure Sprite while keeping only a Crown Sprite in their inventory, then perform standard gameplay actions such as opening chests, retrieving ammo, or lighting campfires.
Each qualifying activity would raise both the Adventure Sprite and the Crown Sprite’s levels, allowing quick mastery of the Crown Sprite and placement into the sprite garden.
Implications for Season 7 Players
Because the glitch is no longer active, the Crown Sprite’s notoriously demanding victory‑royale prerequisite returns, making its acquisition a grind.
Other coveted sprites, such as Gold and Cheat Master, remain relatively accessible, but Hunters must now rely on traditional progression instead of shortcutting with the Adventure Sprite.
