Ryan Cleven takes a gap for personal reasons and leaves the developer, intending to sign with another company on his return.
This is how far Ryan Cleven has come in The Colation. The head of the multiplayer aspect of Gears 5 has confirmed his farewell to the study. The decision, he says, has been made for personal reasons, which have led him to leave the industry indefinitely and have taken a sabbatical. He has announced it through the social network Twitter, where he has recognized that Gridiron, the operation number 3 of this fifth installment, is his favorite content within the Gears saga.
A very heartfelt statement
"I hope you are enjoying Gridiron," says the developer in his message. “It is my favorite Gears experience to date and it will also be my last with The Coalition. I'm going to take a gap. ” According to the ex-director of the multiplayer, when he returns "it won't be Gears". The past "six years have been incredible," he says: "Gears 4 and 5 have been crowned at the peak of my career, but those years have also taken their toll." Due to personal problems, he declares that he cannot continue working as before, since he wants to take time for himself.
I hope you're enjoying Operation 3: Gridiron. It's been my favorite to work on and is closer to how I wished we'd launched. It's also my last with TC & Gears. Due to personal issues, I'll be going on sabbatical indefinitely. Thanks for joining me on this journey. See you online. pic.twitter.com/j8uev2RBOS

“The departure of my mentor, Rod Fergusson, has given me the opportunity to reevaluate my priorities. Although I will miss Gears, the time has come for the relay ”. The developer wanted to thank the fans and the rest of the characters who have worked on the creative process of the video game.
Gears 5 is the second video game in the main series that comes out under the umbrella of The Colation, the studio that was born after Epic Games sold the series to Microsoft. The same studio was responsible for the remastering of the first installment in the series. After the chapter, the franchise will continue with Gears Tactics, which has just announced new details.
