Community Discontent
Gamers on X have voiced frustration that Rockstar opted against a simultaneous rollout.
Comments like “Not having a simultaneous release in 2026 sucks” and “GTA VI releases 10 hours before NZ, so I can’t be on social media when it’s November 18th” illustrate the backlash.
Digital‑Only Decision
Rockstar’s earlier announcement of a fully digital launch was meant to prevent leaks and unify the launch, yet the staggered schedule contradicts that goal.
No physical discs appear in the launch package.
