Rockstar Games has officially pitched a bold, city‑wide GTA 6 promotional push to Miami‑Dade County, seeking to rebrand major transport hubs and commercial sites as Vice City landmarks.
County Discussions
On June 29 2026, the studio submitted a detailed presentation to county officials outlining plans to transform key Miami properties into immersive marketing venues for the forthcoming title. The proposal lists targeted sites including:
- Miami International Airport
- Port Miami
- Metrorail stations
- Tropical Park
- Additional county‑owned buildings
Rockstar already operates a dedicated GTA 6 research team in the city, studying infrastructure, culture, and ambiance to ensure authenticity on the game’s map. The team anticipates that many of the locations highlighted in the proposal will feature prominently in the final gameplay layout.
Creative Plan
The campaign envisions aircraft graced with Vice City logos, an airport baggage claim designed in GTA 6 style, customized carousel signage, and themed luggage carts. Additional elements include aircraft wraps, airport column décor, and limited‑edition luggage tags coordinated with game imagery.
County spokesperson Carlos Suarez confirmed that officials had already had preliminary discussions with Rockstar. “Our staff held conversations about potential opportunities around the launch of GTA VI,” he said.
Suarez also noted that no formal approval has yet been granted. “There has been no formal agreement, and any idea would go through the standard review process,” he clarified, adding that the county recognizes a unique chance to showcase Miami to a global audience while boosting local revenue.
If approved, Rockstar would likely commence the marketing rollout soon after the GTA 6 Extended Look premiere on Netflix, aligning the physical transformation with the game’s November 19 2026 release.
