Rockstar Games announced that the long‑awaited GTA 6 pre‑orders will open on June 25, and that a cover art reveal has already been dropped.
Pre‑order launch and marketing move
The new launch route bypasses the traditional “third trailer” slot that most fans expect, hinting at a different marketing strategy. Game lovers will be able to secure copies as soon as midnight on June 25, with pricing details hinting at a standard retail range.
DarkViperAU’s insider claim
In a recent upload, GTA content creator DarkViperAU intimated that an insider might have informed him that Rockstar could replace the anticipated 3‑4‑minute trailer with a 20‑minute gameplay showcase. He added that the extended clip would likely focus entirely on in‑game footage, offering a deeper look at mechanics. “I don’t know, guys,” he said, “but if it’s 20 minutes, it feels like a gameplay video.” He acknowledged uncertainty, calling the source’s claim “bulls***ting” until verified. Historically, Rockstar has released long gameplay footage prior to the final trailer, as seen with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Release timing and next steps
Rockstar’s official statement confirms the November 19 release, with pre‑orders serving as a sign of finality. Following the 20‑minute reveal, the studio will probably deliver a short third trailer on YouTube and its social channels, echoing the pattern seen with GTA 5 and RDR2.
Marketers, reviewers, and streamers have already set calendars to monitor Rockstar’s website and any insider leaks for confirmation. The next content drop is expected sometime in late June, in close proximity to the pre‑order launch.
Watch the official Rockstar page closely; the community may soon receive a surprise gameplay installment before the scheduled November launch.
