Dean Thompson will join Haas Factory Team as the 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series’ third full‑time entry.
At 24, the California native will don sponsorship from Thompson Pipe Group and MCM Transportation, with the car number and crew chief to be announced later.
“We’re excited to welcome Dean to Haas Factory Team,” said Joe Custer, president. “He has demonstrated strong progression in the series, and we’re confident he will compete at the highest level. The new entry further strengthens our organization amid a growing affiliate program.”
Thompson’s current statistics include 57 starts in the O’Reilly series, one top‑five finish and ten top‑tens, and 70 starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he earned two top‑five results and eleven top‑tens.
“I’m thrilled to join Haas Factory Team as the next step in my NASCAR journey,” Thompson declared. “I look forward to competing for wins and a championship with support from MCM Transportation and Thompson Pipe Group.”
Haas, led by Gene Haas, has amassed three NASCAR O’Reilly victories since separating from Stewart‑Haas Racing before the 2025 season. The former partnership produced 26 wins and the 2023 driver title with Cole Custer.
The team also fields a full‑time Cup Series entry with Custer behind the wheel of the No. 41 Chevrolet.
