Arc Raiders will open its Frozen Trail update to the public for a weekend‑long free trial, beginning at 2 AM PT (5 AM ET) on October 8 and ending at 1 AM PT (4 AM ET) on October 12, 2026.
During the trial, the game hands every player access to all existing modes, maps, and in‑game conditions. However, the fresh Pendola Pass map remains gated for newcomers; it can only be played by joining a veteran who has already unlocked it. Gamers wanting a full experience must therefore find a teammate with the new content.
The promotion covers all major platforms: PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S. Once the 48‑hour window closes, the title reverts to its traditional purchase model. The free‑to‑play window does not extend to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
Progress earned during the trial is preserved. Should a player decide to buy Arc Raiders after the free period, every unlocked skin, weapon, and level will carry over automatically. That said, the upcoming PvE toggle beta, scheduled for October 13, will not be accessible to those who only played during the trial.

With the frozen terrain already on the horizon, enthusiasts who secure a copy after the fee‑based trial can immediately take on the new Pendola Pass, keeping the excitement from the weekend alive long after the free window closes.
