Mojang just released free Minecraft Dungeons 2 capes that players can add to their Java and Bedrock avatars.
Next week’s launch brings the hero and twisted capes to the cross‑platform community, and the new Dungeon‑only skin packs spread their look across both editions.
Claiming the Capes
Both capes must be earned in Dungeons, but they appear as rewards in Java and Bedrock after the sync.
The Hero Cape needs gameplay in both Minecraft Dungeons and its sequel under the same Microsoft account. Play the original and the new title, then launch Dungeons 2 on September 29, 2026.
After signing in with your linked account, both capes appear in the rewards list. Exit Dungeons 2, start either Java or Bedrock, and both capes become unlocked in the avatar menu.
The Twisted Cape is a pre‑order bonus that ends on September 28, 2026. Place the pre‑order before the deadline, then follow the same login procedure once the sequel releases.

Obtaining the Skin Packs
Two skin packs are now downloadable: the Dungeon‑2 Hero pack (Valorie, Kellen, Flores, Ren) and the classic Dungeon Hero pack.
For Java, head to the official Minecraft site, sign in with the Microsoft account that owns your Java world, and navigate to your profile. Switch to «Change Skin & Cape» and upload the downloadable skin file.
Bedrock users access the Marketplace from the main menu, search for “Minecraft Dungeons” or “Dungeons 2 Skin Pack,” and claim the free pack. Then open the Dressing Room, tap “Change Skin,” and choose the hero skin to apply.
