Red Bull junior Isack Hadjar’s wrist injury will sideline him at the Dutch Grand Prix and may keep him off the grid for Monza.
The 20‑year‑old fractured his wrist during the summer shutdown, and after a brief appearance with the Milton Keynes sailing program, he said he is “healing fast” with no swelling and increasing mobility each day.
Hadjar confirmed his wish to be back in the cockpit for the Italian round, saying he “feels good” and remains optimistic for the 4‑6 September event.
Liam Lawson steps in for Zandvoort
With Hadjar unable to race, Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson took the seat alongside Max Verstappen, finishing seventh and handing Red Bull six points.
Team principal Laurent Mekies applauded Lawson’s rapid adaptation, noting the “very good job in qualifying” and the team’s gratitude for his performance.
Standings and implications
Hadjar sits eighth in the drivers’ standings with 68 points, while Verstappen is sixth with 112.
Neither the team nor the driver have officially confirmed whether Hadjar will return for the Italian Grand Prix.
