Marc Marquez revealed a stark picture of his right arm during the MotoGP Aragon Grand Prix weekend, instantly exposing the condition that has kept him on the medical roster.
The Instagram post included moments of celebration with brother Alex, affection with partner Gemma Pinto, and clips of him training on the Ducati and at the gym – yet it was the third image that drew the most attention. In that frame, the shoulder looks visibly collapsed and the arm noticeably lopsided when compared to the healthy left side.
Fans and insiders quickly noted how the injury has lingered despite Marquez maintaining a second‑place shoe in the overall standings. A junior rider, Maximo Quílez, whom the Spaniard manages through Vertical Management, pointed out that Marquez is racing with essentially a single arm because the other remains “completely shattered.”
At MotorLand, the Spanish rider did claim his eighth premier‑class victory, further solidifying his dominance at the track. Ducati has kept him unbeaten at Aragon, with points earned in sprint and main races tallying to 37.

Pedro Acosta kept Marquez on the edge for most of the race, but the veteran held a 1.7‑second lead on the finish line. The win marked a stark contrast with previous seasons, where Marquez often crossed the line with larger margins.
The lingering injury traces back to an Indonesian Grand Prix crash in 2025, the same event where Marquez secured his seventh title. The fall, caused by Bezzecchi, left the right arm severely compromised, forcing the rider to seek a “new 100%” in both training and competition.
To cope with these limitations, the champion has split the calendar into battles he can attack and others he must defend. The silverstone outing illustrated the approach – 9th on Saturday and 7th on Sunday – as Marquez admitted he “had no control” over the injured arm.
Aragon’s outcome, with the highest possible points at the venue, proves that the Ducati rider can still execute races at full speed, but the residual deficits in strength and coordination will test him as the season moves toward its climax.
