Marc Marquez turned his pole position at the Balaton Park Circuit into a commanding Hungarian Grand Prix sprint victory, crossing the line 1.5 seconds ahead of Pedro Acosta.
Strong start despite recent surgery
Fresh off a double operation that addressed a battered right shoulder, the Spanish Ducati rider launched from the front of the grid and immediately created a gap, negating early pressure from the Red Bull KTM factory line‑up.
Lead expands and podium settles
By the third lap Marquez had stretched his advantage to over a second, and the margin continued to climb, reaching two seconds as Acosta fell back. Marco Bezzecchi, who started sixth, surged forward to claim third place, while Raul Fernandez briefly challenged for the second spot before the Spaniard’s pace proved unassailable.
Mid‑field battles
Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer trailed Bezzecchi but a slip at the final chicane relegated him to fifth. Aprilia’s Jorge Martin recovered from the same mistake to finish sixth, and LCR rookie Diogo Moreira vaulted from 11th on the grid to secure seventh. Tech3’s Enea Bastianini jumped to eighth, whilst factory Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia rounded out the points in ninth.
