Season 9’s Death of Apocalypse event opens a new type of challenge for Marvel Rivals players: a truth‑search that lets them solve Wolverine’s murder without grinding through side quests.
Event Overview
Created by NetEase Games, Death of Apocalypse replaces traditional tasks with a whodunnit. Only the Death of Wolverine case is available at launch; the Psylocke and Gambit mysteries unlock on July 12 and July 16, respectively. The event concludes on August 20, 2026, so there is ample time to investigate each scene.
Starting the Investigation
Navigate to the Events tab and select Death of Apocalypse. From the menu, choose Death of Wolverine to begin the mystery.

Within the Investigate tab, click every sparkles across the image to reveal the full set of clues. Complete the list in order before moving to the deduction page.

Submitting Your Theory
On the Deductions page, enter the clues above in the case description box. Then list the Persons of Interest as Jubilee, Wolverine, and Bucky. When both sections are filled correctly, the case is closed and the mystery reward appears.
Forging through the evidence on the deduction screen yields “The Body in the Lazarus Chamber (The Mystery of Thebes #3)” Gallery Card as a reward.
Looking Ahead
After solving Wolverine’s case, keep an eye on the calendar for Psylocke’s and Gambit’s releases. While the rewards for those hunts remain undisclosed, the event format promises the same straightforward investigation and immediate gratification.
