Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics present all the news of the video game, including a new trailer called War zones.
Square Enix has presented together with Crystal Dynamics news about Marvel’s Avengers at the War Table digital event. As expected, the action title planned for September has taken advantage of this encounter to show new details about its history, as well as its main villains and the cooperative multiplayer game mode, War zones.
History: M.O.D.O.K. and I.M.A., main villains of the title
To put things in context, it must be said that the story will take place five years after the government has decreed the banning of superheroes after founding their headquarters, the so-called A-Day. This circumstance is used by M.O.D.O.K. and I.M.A. to experiment with the inhumans and, yet, to end them.
Marvel’s Avengers
It is then when Kamala Khan finds out everything and warns different superheroes, the Avengers, so that they join forces and can face the aforementioned. It is thus, in broad strokes, how the character of Ms. Marvel will be introduced, who along with Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man and Captain America will be the playable heroes in playable matter. On the other hand, we must rebuild the Resistance, an Alliance of Inhumans and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Without microtransactions; expanding solo and cooperative mode
Marvel’s Avengers will grow over time without microtransactions: everything will be free. Casey Lynch, one of the game’s main directors, explained, “This is a completely new single player Avengers story, Crystal Dynamics-style. But it is also an experience that can be enjoyed with friends, which will grow as we add new heroes, territories and stories. All this without additional cost ”.
Regarding the cooperative mode of Marvel’s Avengers, War zones, they will be missions for up to four players where we will have to face each other in more closed spaces or more open to missions where we will fight against bosses, complete different objectives and obtain rewards that will be divided up to improve the character’s skills and characteristics. Of course, each player will play a different hero from those mentioned.
Marvel’s Avengers will go on sale this September 4 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will also be released on Google Stadia soon. Those who get the versions of the console from Sony and Microsoft will also receive their equivalent for PS5 and Xbox Series X for free, which will have important technical, performance and resolution improvements starting this Christmas.
