Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 has released a new weekly quest that requires players to search chests inside the newly added Renegade Vaults.
What are Renegade Vaults?
Renegade Vaults are compact vault structures that contain exactly one Rare Chest and one Sprite Chest. They differ from Sprite Vaults, which spawn only an Epic Vault Keycard. Accessing a Renegade Vault demands a Rare Vault Key.
Where to Locate Them
Six Renegade Vaults appear across the Chapter 7 Season 3 map, usually situated around or immediately outside major Points of Interest. Landing there at the start of a match yields nothing until a player acquires a Rare Vault Key.
Completing the Weekly Quest
To finish the week 6 challenge, begin by searching any chests on the map until you find a Rare Vault Key. Then move to the nearest Renegade Vault, unlock it, and open the chests inside. Repeat this process until you have examined five chests; only two chests per vault are available, so multiple vaults must be visited.
Quest Details and Rewards
All chests—including Regular, Rare, and Sprite—count toward the quest tally. If a Sprite Chest is opened, a new Fortnite Holofoil Sprite may appear. Finishing the task awards 12,000 XP, advancing the season’s Battle Pass.
