Brittle Ice: A New Ice Caves Hazard
Brittle Ice appears naturally in Ice Caves, forming part of the crevasse feature. When stepped on, it cracks and eventually falls, turning the biome into a risk‑reward zone. The recipe is unique: using Silk Touch on the block or allowing water to flow into a Blue Ice block changes it into brittle ice, making a farmable resource that mimics obsidian.
Only mobs such as the Frostbite creature can traverse Brittle Ice without breaking it, adding a subtle dynamic to underground travel.
Jukebox Playlists Simplified
Building on classic soundtracks, the new system permits any chest, trapped chest, or copper chest variant to sit atop a jukebox and serve as a playlist. The device consumes music discs in slot order, ignoring empty spaces and non‑music items.
After a disc completes, the jukebox swaps it for the next available disc. If no discs remain, the current track plays again, ensuring continuous playback.
Freezing Mechanics and Mob Tweaks
Frosted Ice now generates a vibration event whenever it transforms, while Ice, Frosted Ice, and Brittle Ice no longer display their internal block faces when positioned side by side.
Zombies, Drowned, and Husks have become immune to freezing damage, rendering Potions of Freezing ineffective against them in the field.
Additionally, upon entering Powder Snow, a Drowned mob will first transform into a Zombie before becoming a Frostbite, changing the expected behavior chain.
