Minecraft’s upcoming feature film, A Minecraft Movie: Squared, has advanced its build contest to a community‑decided final phase, letting Bedrock Edition players determine which of three worldwide submissions will appear on screen.
The contest is open until 11:59 PT on July 6. Players can vote by entering the dedicated in‑game event, accessed through a single server link, or by launching Bedrock, selecting the “Servers” tab, and hitting the Play button.
During the experience, participants walk a red‑carpeted corridor into a grand hall where each build stands. At each podium, a voting booth appears; players press the interact key to open a window and cast their single choice.
Three structures made the final cut:
- Lightning Rod Lighthouse by Francisco C. B.
- Copper Badlands Castle by Rosanna C.
- Tree Village by Ben V.
Each showcases a distinct style: the lighthouse features coastal engineering, the castle blends rugged biotopes with copper accents, and the village nests among arboreal clusters.
Espousing the cast’s enthusiasm, the Copper Badlands Castle was highlighted for its authentic representation of the Badlands biome and the potential cameo of copper golems. A copper golem gaining consciousness to aid Steve could add a whimsical twist to the storyline.
When the voting window closes, the winner will be announced on July 10 across Minecraft’s X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok channels, allowing the community to see which build will enter the film’s final cut.
Players are encouraged to vote and discuss their preferences in the comments, helping shape the visual narrative of the new Minecraft movie.
