Finding the Duck Sprite
The duck‑like sprite appears in any standard loot source – chests, rare chests, and Sprite Chests – but its epic rarity guarantees a decent chance of popping up every few matches. For higher odds, head to the Cluster Coast vault: it houses an array of Sprite and rare chests that frequently spawn the Duck Sprite. Additionally, fishing in any water body can reveal the sprite, particularly if you’re chasing down the Mythic Goldfish.
Playing with the Duck Sprite
The sprite’s shield‑regeneration power scales with level. Each time the player emotes or jams out, shields are restored as follows:
Level 1–2 : ½ shield/tick Level 3–4 : 1 shield/tick Level 5–6 : 1 ½ shields/tick Level 7–8 : 2 shields/tick Level 9 : 2 ½ shields/tick
Reaching level 5 allows a full shield refit to 100, then any shortcut extraction sends the sprite back to lobby. The Portable Extractor can also pull it instantly from any spot on the map.
Variants and Extra Buffs
The Duck Sprite comes in four distinct variants, each adding an additional perk on top of the base shield regeneration:
- Base Duck Sprite: Emotes or jam-out replenish shields.
- Gold Duck Sprite: +3× XP on eliminations.
- Gummy Duck Sprite: +20% more Sprite Dust per extraction.
- Galaxy Duck Sprite: +30% more ammunition when looting.
