Motorcycle racing officials predict a near‑even split between European and world‑wide venues for the coming MotoGP season.
Expanding Beyond Numbers
“People typically focus on countable race dates when we discuss a global push,” said Carlos Ezpeleta, MotoGP planning lead. “Heralding the expansion of the business requires a deeper look at each event’s strategic impact on the sport’s infrastructure, marketing, and fan reach.”
Current and Upcoming Calendar
Analysts point to this year’s arrangement: 14 races staged across Europe and eight positioned outside of that continent. For the following season, the schedule set up 9 events in Europe and 13 beyond, according to Ezpeleta’s briefing. His commentary suggests those numbers are projected to converge, marking a balanced ratio over the next few years.
Looking Ahead
As the sport expands, regional diversification will remain a priority for MotoGP’s governance body. While the count of races remains a headline metric, the initiative involves extending supportive ecosystems, technological partnerships, and fan‑experience programs worldwide. The forthcoming seasons will test how well the proposed balance translates into sustained growth across all markets.
