Marc Marquez claimed his third 2026 MotoGP pole by taking the very first spot, giving Ducati a front‑row lockout at the German GP.
Marquez Locks Front Row
Marquez’s teammate, his brother Alex, also began on the front row, while Fabio di Giannantonio secured third for VR46. The Ducati pair dominated the opening grid slot, setting a quick pace for the race ahead.
Aprilia Injury and Grid Shuffle
Aprilias’ factory rider Marco Bezzecchi crashed in Q2 and suffered a broken collarbone, forcing him to return home for surgery and remove him from the event. Without Bezzecchi, Trackhouse engines pushed Raúl Fernández and Ai Ogura to fourth and fifth in RS‑GP form, respectively. Fabio Quartararo joined them on the second row, with Morbidelli and Moreira dropping a spot each after penalties for impeding during practice.
Grid Corrections and Gresini’s Absence
Jorge Martin is set to start seventh after a penalty, ahead of Pedro Acosta, Francesco Bagnaia and Morbidelli closing the top ten. Only 20 riders will contest the final race before the summer break. Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer, also sidelined by injury, was ruled out and no replacement rider was named.
