Marcus Ericsson Claims Markham Victory
Marcus Ericsson seized the lead with five laps remaining on Markham’s asphalt and finished first, ending a 63‑race winless streak.
The win is Ericsson’s fifth career IndyCar triumph and his first since the 2023 March event in St. Pete.
It also marks the first victory for the driver since signing with the Andretti team.
Podium Breakdown
Romain Grosjean was the runner‑up, recording his sixth second‑place finish and seventh podium under an 0‑77 record in IndyCar victory lane attempts.
Will Power rounded out the podium in third, fending off a charging Alex Palou in fourth and Pato O’Ward in fifth place.
Ericsson finished 7.5 seconds ahead of Grosjean, the largest margin of the race.
