On August 31, 2026, modder sej0bec released the “GTA VI Styled Minimap & HUD (Legacy)” pack as a 157 MB .oiv file, targeting the legacy edition of GTA 5.
The update reworks the on‑screen HUD, mirroring the shape, border and pink waypoint hue of the GTA 6 minimap, while preserving GTA 5’s core gameplay functions.
Installation Procedure
Only PC owners of GTA 5 can use the mod. Begin by having the OpenIV tool installed. Drag the downloaded .oiv archive into the OpenIV window. The installer launches automatically; select your GTA 5 “mods” folder and press Install. For troubleshooting, consult the GTA 5 modding guide.
What It Adds (and What It Does Not)
The mod supplies a flat 2‑D rendition of the GTA 6 minimap over the existing GTA 5 map system. It does not yet include the 3‑D building overlays or satellite imagery that appear in GTA 6’s extended look.
