The Pokemon Company confirmed that the “30th Celebration” Trading Card Game set will drop worldwide on September 16, 2026, marking the first simultaneous multilingual launch in the franchise’s history.
Global Launch and Foil‑Every‑Card Design
Every single card in the anniversary collection, including basic Energy, receives a full‑foil treatment and bears a distinctive 30th Celebration stamp. Classic staples such as the original Charizard, iconic Pikachu, and the Zekrom GX tag‑team from Sun & Moon reappear with the new logo, offering collectors a glossy homage to three decades of play.
New Rarities, Pikachu IRs and Futuristic Cards
Collectors can chase thirty distinct Pikachu illustrations, guaranteed to appear once per booster, while the set also unveils a brand‑new rarity tier called Futuristic Rare. Mew and Mewtwo lead this tier, positioned alongside Special Illustration Rare chase values. Additional foil exclusives showcase fresh artwork for Umbreon, Espeon, Lapras, Drifloon, Zorua, Lycanroc, Sylveon and Greninja.
Pricing, Pack Contents and Ordering
Japanese retailers list a 6‑card booster at 360 ¥, which translates to roughly $4.80 USD per pack and about $96 for a 20‑pack booster box. Pre‑orders will open through local Pokémon Center stores, authorized merchants and the official website, with inventory expected to move quickly given the set’s anniversary status.
With a blend of full‑foil reprints, a sprawling Pikachu series, and the debut of Futuristic Rare, the 30th Celebration set positions itself as a likely chase for both seasoned players and newcomers eager to own a piece of Pokémon history.
