PS5: Sony has much to announce, campaigns are being centralized

So far, Sony has only released some key data on the PS5, which, however, already puts the players in pure anticipation. Much more important, however, is what is yet to come, and that is still a lot, according to Sony.

In a recent interview with PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan, he talks about the process of transitioning from PS4 to PS5, the challenges and what has changed over the years. An important issue is also how Sony PlayStation is increasingly centralized and no longer thinks and works in different departments, even if it was very successful over the last few years.

"100 million [PS4] is obviously a very notable milestone for any console," said Ryan. "We only did it once. We've seen good times about this current generation, and when I step back and look at the things we've done quite well, we've done a good job protecting and improving our brand. We did well with exclusive content – that was a big difference. But I think the interesting thing this time is the community we've built. "

As for the PS5, Ryan is confident in what they will do with it. There is still a lot to announce, more than you have already done. Personally, his focus is again on the games, with which the success or failure of each console falls. As a foretaste, things like the development and production of the PS5, the features and how to implement them, but also the marketing that plays a huge role in it. This is where the central management comes in again, where in the future not everything is decided and communicated through different departments, but everything happens from one source. An example is Spider-Man, the first game to be marketed in a global campaign.
