Raji Kaliyuga’s fresh gameplay trailer, debuted with developer commentary at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026, lays out the title’s core systems and punchline mechanics.
Gameplay Mechanics
Players step into the shoes of two siblings who swap roles as the narrative unfolds. Darsh, the elder brother, wields elemental, gravitational, and energy powers, summoning black holes to suck enemies inward and creating spells that litter the battlefield.
His arsenal mixes projectile throws, melee eviscerations, and environmental manipulation—demolishing pillars and flinging them like shrapnel. Darsh’s flow resembles that of Doctor Strange, suggesting a deliberate homage.
Raji, in contrast, fights on close range with her divine trident, performing acrobatic leaps that allow her to jump between foes and deliver devastating damage. Her attacks exude impact, and both characters fight together, offering brief co‑op moments.
The sequel abandons its former isometric layout in favor of a conventional third‑person camera, a shift that could widen the audience and bring new players to the series.
Character Dynamics and Combat
As the plot progresses, the game forces players to switch between Darsh’s ranged, energy‑based play and Raji’s melee, platforming‑heavy style. The sibling partnership guarantees developers designed the combat so both benefit from shared upgrades and joint attacks.
Visually, Darsh can weave between enemies with side steps, keeping a safe distance while firing spells. Popping puzzles and level design will mean that players practice precision and timing to succeed.
