Sébastien Loeb takes the wheel to help validate Project Rally One’s 2027 WRC car ahead of its debut in Monte Carlo.
International Test Program Accelerates Development
Project Rally One has booked a series of track days around the French Vosges, employing up to eight drivers in the build‑to‑regulation program. Among them, former WRC champions Stephane Lefebvre, Freddy Loix, Bruno Thiry and the newly crowned European champion Teemu Suninen have contributed detailed feedback, particularly on gravel handling.
Loeb’s Expertise Adds Final Polish
Loeb, who last appeared in WRC racing in 2022, was brought in for the rainy Thursday session, followed by a dry Friday run. Both rounds yielded positive comments from the drivers, confirming the car’s readiness for the harsh Monte Carlo weather. “Their insights were fundamental to the vehicle’s development,” the team said.
Regulatory Pathway in Place
The homologation dossier is drafted and slated for submission to the FIA’s technical department by month‑end, ensuring compliance with the 2027 regulation set. Project Rally One expects to field two cars in selected WRC events next season.
